esbs@aol.com It's hard to capsulize 40 years in a few sentences other than to say they have gone by so fast. I've been married 38 years and have three daughters who are married and have given us four wonderful grandchildren so far. I was in advertising for over 30 years and had an agency in West Los Angeles for several years. I retired five years ago along with my husband who was the Crime Lab Director in Huntington Beach for 20 years. We made a big move two years ago to Colorado where our oldest daughter and her family live. It has been a good move for us with a quieter pace and lots of grandparenting time. I still make the trip to California often to see our other two daughters and families including our two oldest grandsons. 2012-08-06 12:19:37

bmartin849@aol.com El Camino College for a year then drafted into the Army. Spent a year in Vietnam with the 25th Division. Worked for Pacific Telephone for 8 years then 30 years with The Los Angeles Fire Department. Married Sandi Smith from El Segundo H.S. in 1973 and still happily married. Retired in 2008 and love playing golf when not restoring my house in North Ranch. Haven't surfed since watching Jaws. Still think back and remember Leuzinger with a little smile. Loved playing football and all the friends and even the teachers now. 2012-07-14 00:04:43

lesher@verizon.net We moved to the Santa Ynez Valley in 1986 when my girls were 3 and 5. Love living in a small community where everybody knows your name. Remarried in 2010. While everyone is retiring, we have decided to build a bowling/family entertainment center in Buellton. Should be open in spring 2019. Life is good and looking forward to seeing everyone at our big 50! 2017-07-25 16:22:13

cheryldorehall@gmail.com Facebook I have lived in California; Hawthorne to Santa Cruz and down to San Diego, where we have lived for the past 30 + years. I retired December 2015, and now divide my time between San Diego, where we live aboard our boat on Shelter Island, and a small community near Palm Springs, Sky Valley. I follow the sunshine now and live where I can catch the best weather. We've raised 4 kids and have 11 grandchildren spread out all over the Western states.... plan to do more traveling to see them this year. Retirement life is wonderful! 2016-06-06 23:14:34

cynthiageraghty@ymail.com El Camino, Long Beach State to earn BA and teaching credential. Masters in bilingual education through CSU Sacramento and CSU Dominguez Hills. Retired after 38 years as teacher and administrator in 2009 (the first 19 in Lawndale!). Traveled a lot to Europe and Mexico while single. Married a great guy from Ireland 31 years ago, so continued to visit inlaws there several times. Adopted 2 wonderful children who have now given us 3 gorgeous grandchildren. Never thought I'd leave LA, but when my kids didn't turn out to be as driven (obsessive?) as me, I knew they'd end up leaving LA due to cost of living, so we moved to Spokane, WA,in 2009, bringing our 16 year old with us and hoping our 18 year old daughter would follow. Halleluyah! It finally worked! Our daughter, her husband and daughter moved at Easter 2017! I've taught ESL at the JC for 4 years up here, but just re-retired. Second largest city in Washington but just a grown up cow town, so small and friendly. The baggers at the grocery store almost cry if you don't let them help you take your cart out! And they still give out plastic bags. Don't miss CA one bit! Looking forward to lots of motor-homing and seeing y'all at the reunion in September! 2017-05-29 22:49:43

mjrjolt@comcast.net profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=167268771 After LHS, went to El Camino (loved it there--wish it had been a 4-yr. school), then on to Cal-State Fullerton. During this time, I worked for a Christian newspaper, The Hollywood Free Paper, as their artist. Also volunteered at a coffee house on 2nd St. in Hermosa. After graduation, moved to Burlington, Vermont and lived in a commune with some friends from Manhattan Beach. Check out my photos elsewhere here. Moved to Rochester, NY area-met my lovely wife and was married in 1979. In 1980 we moved back to South Bay. I went on staff at Hope Chapel in Hermosa Beach as youth pastor. During this time, our 3 kids were born at Torrance Memorial. Had lots of fun at Hope Chapel!! In 1983, we moved to the Valley to start a new church, Hope Chapel of the Valley with some young surfers. In 1986, we moved to New Hampshire. For the past 20 yrs. I have been a pastor in New Hampshire at 3 churches. Also, I've been working with younger pastors. Been to Israel twice, and want to go back again and again!! On January 1 of this year we arrived here in Paducah, Ky--for the express purpose of helping to take care of my Mom after my father died a year ago. So we're learning how to talk southern, "y'all." Life is definitely different in the South, and this IS the South! Fortunately my daughter is moving to San Diego, and we will be visiting her frequently--to experience gridlock and the smell of the Pacific Ocean!! 2012-08-06 12:22:17
Sorry I can't make it to our reunion. I'm stuck here in Paducah, Kentucky. For most of you, it would be boring here compared to the South Bay. Been there, done that. Have a great time. Contact me and let me know what you've been doing these past 40 yrs.
Also, check out my MY SPACE site where I have a video highlighting my last 40 yrs.

rdstahl519@q.com I lived in California for 10 years after High School attending El Camino and working, then went to Minneapolis in 1977 to attend Bethany Fellowship Missionary Training Center. It was there I met my husband, Randy. We are still in Minnesota and have been married for 27 years now. We do not have any children...But I do tell everyone that I have one child, and I am married to him. We do have 8 neices/nephews and it will soon be 12 great neices/nephews. I am currently working for UnitedHealth Group as a Provider Relations Coordinator in their Evercare division. I hope that you will all thank me for what I am currently doing, so ask me. 2017 Update: I was laid off from the above mentioned position in 2008 and was unemployed for about 22 months when I was hired for a position for Ingenix in 2010. Ingenix was also part of UnitedHealth Group and in 2012 changed their name to Optum. I worked as a claims investigator in the fraud, waste, abuse and errors department. Then finally at the end of 2015 I retired. My retirement was more for need than want as both my sister and mother had by this time had strokes. My husband and I spent the biggest portion of 2016 in California. We had to empty their house and sell it and then get them both in a nursing home. We came back to Minnesota at the end of September after originally leaving in mid January. Then in December we again returned to CA. My mother had fallen and fractured her hip. I wanted to be there if she needed surgery, but it was decided that surgery would not be needed for her condition. Then in late January of 2017 we again returned to CA this time to put my sister on hospice. She passed away February 20, 2017 and then my mother passed away 27 days later on March 19, 2017. My husband and I are now back in Minnesota. So, I will not be able to attend the 50th reunion as much as I would very much like to see my high school friends. My sister is Jeanine Carroll from the class of 1970. Some of you may remember her. She was part of the Flags Team for the band. She was also on the Student Council for the Freshman class when we were Seniors. Jeanine became a paraplegic in 1993. She passed away from complications of her paraplegia. 2017-09-07 16:32:09

I am looking forward to finally being able to attend a reunion.  Thank you to the committee for all your work and efforts to make this all come together.
