| We all know that life has it's ups and downs but don't we live for moments like this ? No amount of money or success can bring the kind of joy we all experienced at our 40th reunion. It was truly great to see each one of you,just wish it could have been longer. I want to say a personal MAHALO to each one of you that was on the committee that contributed so much to make this such a success and I would especially like to thank Cheryl Dore for all her expertise and humility. | Below is a "reunion story" that, for me, says it best. Max Bettman came to me at about 11pm Saturday night and said "Gordie, I have a complaint...only one but its a complaint about this reunion and I thought you needed to know." | What a great reunion! It was so wonderful to see everyone having a great time and getting back together after so many years. Serving on the reunion committee was an experience I will treasure forever. This group of Olympians worked for months to bring this event all together....everyone contributed a talent or two....we had the best time getting together each month leading up to the reunion, catching up with the past 40 years and taking walks down memory lane. Wouldn't have missed that ride for anything. Thank you so much for letting me be part of it. At the reunion I saw so many familiar faces...yes, sometimes I had to look very carefully to find the person I knew 40 years ago...but when the connection was made it was like old times; same voice, same personality, same warm feeling of friends. I only wish I could have talked to everyone...and hope to catch up with those I didn't get to connect with at the reunion via email. The 40th Reunion will remain one of my fondest memories forever. | Trying to find easiest way to get from LGB to Catlina Landing ( I assume it must be at the Long Beach Harbor ) for ferry to Avalon on Thur 16th, and from Catalina Landing to Avis rentals in Long Beach on Sat afternoon. Have no clue the distance etc. Anyone living down that way now ? | |||

I live in LA county but out in the country on five acres. I'm the caretaker for a myriad of animal friends who were all in need for one reason or another. I'm thinking of going non-profit this year. | Hi to everyone. What a great time we will all have. Life goes by so fast. As you might know, I married Doug Reitz 39 years ago. We have a daughter, Kayce who is now 30, and had twins at 40! They are 18 now and going to go to Fresno State. We have 3 grandchildren and loving being grandparents. We have a Bike Shop in Clovis "Bike World". What wonderful memories I have of these carefree days of High School. You all have a special place in my heart. Little did I know then, that part of life would be a memory someday.
